Octant Evora

The outdoor areas are lovely. Nice walks around the grounds and cute goats. Indoor communal areas and restaurant are really nice big spaces. Very dog friendly and a big plus you can take them everywhere including the restaurant. Food was great. We only ate from the bar menu so didn’t sample the dinner menu but there was a good variety of options. Service was a bit off though, pleasant staff just lacking direction.

The property is stunning and quite vast. The lighted path throughout that takes you to little places to sit, have a drink and admire the view were so nice. It was the ultimate place to relax and unwind after a full day of travel. The rooms were spacious, and well decorated. Staff couldn't have been nicer. It is very kid friendly. We stayed at the beginning of the off-season so it wasn't an issue for us. I could imagine if you are a couple without kids that the summer would be quite packed.. just something to keep in mind depending how you like to travel. In all, we were pleasantly surprised. I knew it would be nice, but it definitely exceeded expectations.

Great stay with kids, so many cute little touches like a teddy bear in the room, robes in their sizes, a little table to draw on next to reception check-in, kids club etc - they've thought about it a lot. Good varied menu for kids and nice wood fire oven pizzas. The villa was perfect for staying with kids.

I really liked the modern look of the facilities, it was the first hotel I saw with a proper family room (and I've been to more than most) with a double bunk bed and even a small tent for kids to play inside the room. The hotel is quite adequate for families, the pool area is not that large and can get crowded easily, but it looks very nice. It also has small mini pools in other parts of the hotel for adults only, even though that was not controlled during my stay and saw many children there. I also liked the farm area of the hotel with animals and vegetables (even though the vegetable part was not well taken care of at the time), and my child spent some time petting a poney, pig, goats and sheep. The breakfast options were very good and complete, one of the most complete ones for the size of the buffet. Well done! The staff was very kind and helpful, I think people will feel well received here.
